The fascist direction of U.S. society has caused citizens and public figures to emerge with criticism and resistance. President Trump's approval rating is on a constant downward trend which currently stands at 41%. Americans are not the only people who despise the current political establishment. Donald Trump's recent anti-muslim Twitter posts have precipitated an uproar in the United Kingdom, with millions threatening to publicly protest if the American President decides to travel oversees. On the home front, political activists like Mark Bray and Debra Sweet continue to combat fascism through community organization, social media engagement, street demonstrations.

Mark Bray is a historian, political organizer, and author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook. The book is the first transnational history of post-WWII anti-fascism in English. It explores anti-fascism from its origins to present day, tactics, philosophies, and insights to the resistance. Bray is currently on a forty-four city book in the United States and Canada for promotion and to disseminate information on the subject. He has made appearances on various television networks including NBC News and RT America to express his views.
Debra Sweet is a political activist, Director of the World Cant Wait, and Director of Press for the Refuse Fascism movement. Sweet manages these organizations in effort to stop government crime, that include infringement of privacy, deportations of immigrants, and criminalization of abortion. She is most known for her confrontation with Richard Nixon in her opposition to the war in the Vietnam. In 2012, Sweet was awarded Humanist Heroine of the year at the American Humanist Association awards banquet.
President Trump has constructed his own brand of fascism that was developed for a modern society. The age of information and technology enabled him to entertain the population and become the most powerful man in the world. It is up to political activist and American citizens to monitor and exercise their rights against the government.
